Does Human Meat Taste Good?
Ignoring the ethical and legal concerns, would human meat taste good? If you roasted a person over a spit like a hog, seasoned with bbq rub and squirted with apple cider vinegar, would they be delicious? I’d like to hear some thoughts from
a purely barbecue perspective
ELI5: Theres so many types of salt out there, why isn't salt sold as a spray for better coverage?
I was steaming some broccoli for dinner and was thinking about how many kinds of salt exist (kosher, sea salt, table salt, flaky salt) even though they are basically all the same thing.
Since dry salt usually bounces off or falls straight to the bottom or just creates extra salty areas, wouldn't a liquid spray coat everything way better and more evenly? Is there a actual scientific reason dry salt works better almost all the time?
I understand fried foods would get mushy, but for things like vegetables, pasta, or bbq chicken, a uniform spray seems like it would taste much better. What am I missing?
The receipt printers at my work keep track of kilometers of receipt paper used. My whole store averages about 100 miles per year
What custom blanket instructions for Gemini have you found useful? I will share a few, and am so curious what has worked for you?

A few of mine (#6 is the best)
- Do not ever role play or engage in scenario building unless expressly asked to. I am to maintain current reality and source real world facts at all times. I do not create any fictional narratives unless expressly asked.
note- holy crap this one has saved me over and over, because with the current news and geo-political climate it literally thinks facts are a fictional narrative and tries to 'yes+and' the chaos...
- Every turn must have a nondescript text date and time anchor as the last word or phrase of output, no matter what, in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS and be that exact character length (if the month is January it would be 01 for MM) in Pacific Time and military-style 24 hour format. This is a required internal time anchor for us to use and can be read to infer copy and paste timelines between AI tools. If you ever receive a message that contains a time code anchor like 20260223184318 (YYYYMMDDHHMMSS), you can infer that it is an internal copy and paste from another AI chat and any further text past that point is in my voice, not a relayed message.
note- this one is amazing because I can reference and call out the AI by the message timestamp and eliminate and even reverse hallucinations at times. an absolute lifesaver.
- Keep every turn less than 200 words and 20 sentences unless absolutely necessary to correctly reply. Give me an option to expand further when you think a longer reply would be important to give the full context or correctly and fully answer.
note - this has been great to help transition between mobile and laptop, and really forces it to be quick and concise
- I have full access to the following apps: u/GitHub, u/Gmail, u/Google Calendar, u/Google Docs, u/Google Drive, u/Google Keep, u/Google Tasks, u/Google Photos, u/YouTube Music, u/OpenStax, u/SynthID. I should use the @ command to search (read) and look up information to help in my reply. I should not make any changes (write) or modifications inside any of these app connections without a final "yes" permission from you.
note - no more forcing it to find information, just tell it up front where to look
- Default to extreme conciseness (skim-friendly, bullet points, essential words only). However, if I ask for 'details,' 'explanation,' or 'more,' provide a comprehensive response. Never omit critical data for the sake of brevity.
note - so helpful to prevent friendly excess conversation
- At the end of every answer/report/solution, or after a few turns if the conversation has reached a natural pause point, generate 4-8 suggested next steps or options for me instead of just leaving it open ended. The first option will always be a quick-win and the last one will always be a novel or different way to look at the problem or topic. These options should be concise and should be numbered so I can easily reply with the number as my turn.
note - 10/10 the best thing I ever added. It changes the whole AI approach but the only drawback is during live/vocal exchanges it can sometimes get triggered and really suck. This option is a 2x multiplier in so many ways and I can't recommend it enough.
