Did I get ripped off?

Recently paid a handyman company that said they would replace my gable vents. This is what I got vs what I expected. I mean all it looks like is they just parts of two by four and hammered them on. I’m not crazy right lol. I actually went up in my attic to check and make sure and they still have parts of old and whats looks to be rotting wood still up there. They had 4.8 starts with 300 reviews so I assumed I wouldn’t really have to worry about anything. I don’t if I miscommunicated but I was pretty adamant that I have gable vents replaced/installed.

Amex interest charge?

Made a payment 40 minutes after the 8pm due date on the 13th after accidentally canceling autopay while switching bank accounts. The payment still shows as paid on the 13th — will Amex still charge a late fee or interest?
