I'm impressed with the DPN app

I've never used a VPN that allowed so much customization. The app relocator allows me to set which app goes through what tunnel yet still allow me to keep everything else local. I'm still trying to figure all the other features as I use it. Lovin' it so far!

If you're looking for a new type of VPN...

A guy at work kept telling me to try the DPN app from Deeper because he knows I'm always complaining about VPNs getting blocked. Finally gave it a shot this week.

Ngl... it's actually been pretty solid.

The per app routing is prob my favorite feature. I don't have to send everything through the VPN anymore, just the apps that actually need it. Makes life way easier.

Speeds have been good and I haven't had the usual "this service doesn't allow VPNs" headache nearly as much. I looked into it and apparently it uses residential IPs instead of the typical data center ones, which would explain why.

Not saying it's perfect or anything, but it's honestly one of the better VPN experiences I've had in a while.

If anyone else has been using it I'd be interested to hear if your experience has been the same.

If you wanna check it out, it's at dpn.deeper.network or just search DPN on the App Store.

VPN is unstable

I noticed my VPN often failed on hotel or public WiFi. Either it wouldn’t connect or was extremely unstable. What good is VPN if it can't guarantee access or stability on restricted networks. Some networks clearly interfere with VPN traffic. So now I’m questioning whether VPN is being overestimated both for privacy and usability. Am I doing something wrong?

My VPN stopped working on hotel WiFi. Is this a thing now?

In London and ran into this issue at my hotel. Using a popular VPN and it works fine at home, but on hotel WiFi it either struggles to connect, gets blocked or becomes extremely unstable. VPN helps with IP masking obviously, but they don't guarantee access or stability on restricted networks.

Does anyone know if hotels are actively blocking VPN traffic? Or this just inconsistent network quality? Curious if others have experienced the same? It seems vpns are as reliable as they used to be. Wonder if this is because governments are starting to crack down?

The new Danjiang bridge that connects Bali & Dansui is beautiful

I took a ride on my motorcycle this afternoon to check out the bridge. It was beautiful and will make traveling to and from Dansui so much easier. People living in Dansui who are heading to Bali or southbound will find it so much more convenient than having to sit in traffic through downtown Dansui.

The bridge has already increased property values in Dansui and it will also boost tourism in the area. I've noticed Foolong Hotel, which is just at the landing of the bridge on the Dansui side, was really struggling the past few years. However today when I went there were lots of people at the restaurants and also staying at the hotel, which offers a beautiful view of the bridge from all the rooms facing the river.

If you get a chance, definitely go check it out! There's a very wide pedestrian and bicycle friendly path. Being underneath the pillar was quite majestic. This is the world's biggest asymmetrical suspension bridge in the world.

Mom wanted ribs for mother's day so that's what she got!

Parboiled then grilled on low gas bbq and towards the end so it doesn't burn, lathered bbq sauce and honey on them. Nothing fancy just TLC. Tender and delicious.

I've noticed that when I lay down to rest, laying on my right side will give me heartburn but laying on my left side will not. I did some research and Leah need that this happens because of the stomach's anatomy. Since the stomach sits to the left of the esophagus, lying on the right side uses gravity to allow acid to flow up, while left-side sleeping keeps the esophagus above the stomach contents. Because of this, I try to sleep more on my left side even tho I prefer my right.
