Always a good day when both of them show up at my feeder together. This is the one legged cardinal if anyone remembers my last post. He put his butt feathers on her and she stopped eating entirely 😭 totally anthropomorphizing but she looked disgusted
She is a VERY common regular at my feeder. I don't see her mate as much, but whenever he's near he's always doing that call to her and feeding her. I was so happy the first time I saw him, her missing leg did not stop her from finding a man who treats her right 😤
I have sent pictures of her to rehabilitation experts and they have said her leg is completely healed and does not need attention
