[N1+] A Useful Resource To Expand Your Vocab
At some point recently, I realised that at a certain point (after 26k+ words), word frequency became a bit of an unreliable metric to follow. For example, a word like 親知らず is not high-frequency overall, but it can still appear in a commonly encountered real-life situation. I decided to expand my vocabulary based on a different metric/source (other than immersion).
This led me to find a book which I think can be quite useful in expanding one's vocabulary, particularly the vocabulary used in novels, and I felt like sharing it here:
できる大人の語彙力2200
This book contains example sentences and Japanese and English definitions for each word/proverb/yojijukugo/idioms, and contains quite a few words that I didn't know or words that I thought meant something different/not that familiar with.
Let me know your thoughts on this book as well!
