Enjoy 😘

I looked up at the sky. The same blue sky I've always looked at. White fluffy clouds and the bright sun. The loud bird chirps and the cold wind that tastes like the sea. I live 2 minutes away from the beach, 20 from the nearest house, and 2 hours away from a small town with around 2 shops.

The countryside is nice, but it's not great. I was homeschooled as a kid because getting to school was too difficult since the nearest one was too far away. My parents died, and I'm now the owner of this house and the little wealth they had.

It's a nice house. 2 bedrooms, 2 floors, a living room, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and 2 house phones. Although it's old, if I sold it, it would definitely cover the cost of a nice apartment in a city or something. But I don't. Because this is the house my 2 parents lived in and where I grew up. And anyway, even if I wanted to sell it, sometimes I wonder if I have a choice.

I walk outside. The same sky. Same clouds, same birds, same blue hue. The same sun glistening just above the horizon. The clouds look fluffy, like cotton candy.

2 clouds. 2 birds. 2 trees slightly out of a distance I'd walk, especially without a reason.

The same numbers, same sky. Same tastes, smells, and sounds. Like it's Groundhog Day, but the calendar still moves. People in town act normal and friendly enough. No questions, no names. No information that isn't needed.

Everything is perfectly normal. Everything is completely ordinary.

So why is that there, when just yesterday that space was empty?

3 red roses sat in the field, surrounded by 7 blue lilacs and around 15 black flowers I wasn't sure of the name of, creating a bit of an eye shape. I remember laying in it all the time whilst my sister sat on the house's porch watching me mess around.

I do miss when my family was around, but it's been a long time since they passed away.

I turned around back to my nice house and lay in bed after passing the other two bedrooms in the upstairs hallway and entering the third, the same one I'd always had since I thought it would be wrong to switch into my older sister's or parents' room.

I sat down in the flowers. A small blue polka dot picnic blanket underneath me and a selection of snacks. A few sandwiches, many types of biscuits, and a couple of fruits. A small little lunch on a nice day. The breeze felt nice against me. The tree covering me so the perfect amount of light got through, and the group of birds chirped quietly around me.

I looked over to my house, just a couple metres away from me. Maybe I should get someone to repaint it since the blue my family had painted had mostly faded away over many years and the yellow was slowly coming back through.

A strong breeze knocked the now-empty basket of food over and subtly declared for me to head back in. I grabbed the blanket and the basket and walked back home.

Chapter 1

A quiet day

I walk outside. The same sky. Same clouds, same birds, same blue hue. The same sun glistening just above the horizon. The clouds look fluffy, like cotton candy.

2 clouds. 2 birds. 2 trees slightly out of a distance I'd walk, especially without a reason.

Chapter 2

A calming memory

I sat down in the flowers. A small blue polka dot picnic blanket underneath me and a selection of snacks. A few sandwiches, many types of biscuits, and a couple of fruits. A small little lunch on a nice day. The breeze felt nice against me. The tree covering me so the perfect amount of light got through, and the group of birds chirped quietly around me.

A strong breeze knocked the now-empty basket over and led to me deciding to grab the blanket, the basket, and walk back home.
