That inhumane punishment... Masumi is so extreme. I felt sorry for the three.

Next week the manga is on a break.

Almost forgot about the next chapter of the prequel manga about Ousuke and Tsukuyomi's adventures as students. A new face from the oni side this time and Ukyou giving out some tough love.

Naughty boys be naughty boys! Masumi has his work cut out for him. Like, getting stood up for more than an hour because your charges got lost on their way back from the bathroom... comedy gold right there. Consequences for the boys will be brutal (and hilarious for us of course) though.

Anyway, this week's issue of Shounen Champion was double, so the next chapter will be in 2 weeks.

Some old characters are back (and if you ask me, at least part of the reason is the anime that starts this fall and will cover their arc). And the new Children of Kishin are on the table too! 2 of them even - the water and the earth ones (because you just know that at least of them is gonna be introduced soon). Can't wait.

Ehh, that was kind of... aniclimactic. Like, really. No Mikado, no reunion, no Momo fight, no danger... just a mini training arc for Shiki, I guess?

The Archives, acquired! Though they're written in old calligraphy which makes them pretty much unreadable to modern people without special training so we probably won't know what's in them until they're delivered to the Principal - that is, only after this arc is over, presumably. Meanwhile what we all knew will happen, meaning Momo making their presence known, is happening.

Looks like another (sort of a) powerup for Shiki so soon after the previous. Is the condition for obtaining the Archives beating the specter the previous Enki left behind? Certainly looks that way so far.

This month's Tsukuyomi&Ousuke's gaiden chapter. Pretty funny, especially Ukyo's suffering because of the brats.

Well... I'm not even sure what to think of this save for Shiki getting a much needed reality check along the lines of 'you're strong but there is always someone (something?) stronger'.

We're in the realm of... spirits now, I guess? From what Kyouya said, it's the previous Enki's spirit...? But then how other oni wrote in the Archives? Or the Archives haven't been updated for 400 years, since the death of the previous Enki?

The Kagoshima arc starts without further ado! The training arc is off-screened though (maybe for the better though). Not entirely convinced it was such a great idea to have Kyouya who has no fighting ability to speak of accompany Shiki... No, I get it that Mudano is too well known and stands out way too much anywhere he goes without trying, but for obtaining something as crucial as the Archives Kyouya seems a little inadequate, if you ask me...
