I had a great walk along most of the Carneddau 3000’s yesterday. I started at Llyn Ogwen and hiked up Pen Yr Ole Wen and finished by walking down in Llanfairfechan. I do this walk every few months but I really enjoy it and I had excellent weather for it.
I went up Pen Yr Ole Wen the other weekend and walked most of the 3000’ers along the Carneddau range. I had a bit of a cloud inversion a couple of times. I always love this walk.
Over the weekend I did a section of Offa’s Dyke. I got the train and a bus to Trefor on Friday after work and hiked 11 miles to Llandegla. Then 25.5 miles to a campsite off trail near Ruallt. I finished the trail with 7 miles to Prestatyn on Sunday morning. (Then I got the train home, took a shower, and my wife and I walked a 9 mile section of the Wales Coast Path).
