Does binding flex matter?
Hello, I built my setup (Capita Mega Merc with Union Falcors) for my ride style and couldn’t be happier with it and now I want something softer and playful that’s fun to take it slow on. I’ve only ridden the Union Falcors and Bataleon Astro ASYM, both have a flex rating of 7.
My philosophy has always been “you can either snowboard or you can’t” in the way of if I am good enough I should be able to throw the Falcors on a soft-mid flex board and have a good time in the park/progressing ground tricks. And also stiffer bindings will make it easier to flex the board.
Love an excuse to buy new gear so Im not asking “is it worth it?” lol, more so is there a noticeable difference riding softer flex bindings with a softer board and progressing in the park? If you have experience/knowledge on this is there/why is there a preference for a soft/soft setup?
Would love to hear people’s preferences, how you made your decisions on setup and any recs as well!
