Hi!

My wedding is coming up. In Hungary it's a tradition for the bride to wear a red dress around midnight. Since I don't like wearing red clothing, I decided to wear a red lip instead. Also, my style is evolving into a vintage/folk phase currently so I want a red that could be worn every day (I'm a teacher). I enjoy putting emphasis on my lips because I think it is my most beautiful feature.
My problem is: there are too many reds. :D And I don't want to look as Joker from Batman. I want a subtle red, that looks well and complements me. On the first picture I wear a lipliner (Douglas - Spicy Cinnamon) only but it smudges really badly. But I decided to give it a try.

Currently I’m trying to curate my ideal style, and I’ve realized I’m drawn to a mix of clean girl / Scandi, vintage, and folk aesthetics (especially Hungarian, because of my background).

What I find challenging is that many vintage pieces tend to be quite structured or fitted, which doesn’t always work well for a Soft Natural silhouette. I’m trying to figure out how to adapt these styles in a way that keeps their original character but still feels relaxed, slightly unconstructed, and more in harmony with SN lines.

The same applies to folk elements — while I love the patterns and details, they can easily become overwhelming. I’m interested in ways to incorporate them more subtly, so they enhance the outfit instead of dominating it.

I’m also curious about makeup within this style direction: can a Soft Natural pull off a bolder lip, or does it disrupt the overall softness? And when it comes to vintage inspiration, which eras do you think translate best to a more natural, slightly undone look?
