I'm new to rowing. I'm pushing 50, have been using an ERG since November and currently I do 5k in around 21-22 mins.

It's not that impressive but I've made huge progress since starting from almost zero cardiovascular fitness and I'd like to maintain that, but I'm about to have 3 weeks overseas where I'll be moving every 2-4 days and staying in B&Bs and hotels. I won't have access to machines, guest access to gyms or the like.

What's the best way to keep up both my cardio and strength, so I don't slide too much before I'm back and able to slot back into my routine? I've not had great success with running in the past - got a dodgy ankle and knee that flairs up with high-impact - but feel that's my only option
