My 18 month broadband only contract ended last month, I was paying about £25 a month and now that it's ended I'm paying £65. They offered me a £24 per month contract but the problem is its for 24 months and I'll almost certainly be moving out of my current place towards the end of this year (I'm a student). I don't really want to have to pay hundreds of £ to cancel if I move. I don't think my current flat has an openreach connection so switching isn't really an option...

General advice would be appreciated but also specifically - what if I move somewhere in the UK where there isn't a virgin line set up? Can I cancel for free?
