What is the flag next to the American flag?
This is described on the price tag as tribal art with no further details. Edit: thanks for the info everybody. It’s not in Santa Barbara, it’s at a consignment shop in NC.

Annoyed experts urging others to ID to species level
I usually don't like to ID observations any more specifically than I am personally confident. I also believe that's how it's intended to be done.
Sometimes there will be an expert on that type of organism who IDs to species-level, and wants others to blindly agree with them. I typically don't make my ID more specific unless I'm personally certain, but this sometimes annoys them.
Is there an etiquette for this? I'm sure they're most often right, but it also feels wrong to ID with something I don't actually know myself.

Fun fact: The creatures from Micro Row are based on a type of crustacean that exists in real life known as Daphnia.

"A For Effort" is hysterical
I just got to this minigame today and holy shit that was the best thing I've seen in a while. So out of the blue.

A warning about Early Bird Books
If your Kobo came with a free book from Early Bird Books DO NOT REDEEM IT!
It's a scheme to send you spam emails every week that are impossible to unsubscribe to no matter how much you try. They are completely unreachable when you contact them about it.
Edit: I have been unsubscribing and unticking boxes regularly for over a year now. Every time it says that I "successfully unsubscribed", and then I get a new one next week. I am 100% certain this is not my fault in any way.
