I'm currently on my (technically) on my 3rd playthrough of soc, don't get me wrong i absolutely love this game but who else really hates the brain scorcher segment

I haven't finished a single playthrough because every single time after the brain scorcher I'm left with no money, no ammo, broken armor, and broken guns leaving me not ready for Pripyat. On my current playthrough I just need to accept barkeep's quest to head to the brain scorcher but because of my previous games I'm now way too discouraged to even attempt
