I've been running my business full time for about 5 years, and there seems to be a cycle of great weeks, doing above average days, lots of orders coming in, followed by a very slow string of days, before eventually getting back to what I like to call normal. Nothing in particular has changed, traffic is the same, people just aren't buying.

Does anyone else experience this? Do you have anything that you do to stir up sales during those times when you see them happening?

M34, F32, been married for 7 years. Both of us have always been of the opinion that we do want kids "at some point". Over the last year or two I've been really feeling like I'm ready to start our family, however she still doesn't feel like we're ready. We have conversations about it and it's not a measurable milestone that she's looking for. We've hit our savings goals, we have a home, we make enough money, etc. She just says that she's not quite ready, or doesn't feel like we're ready.

Have any other men been in this situation? Was there something that you see in hindsight that's what she was looking for? Or did it just sort of change one day? To be clear, I'm not asking "what did you do to convince her", but rather "was there something you did or were able to provide that made her feel like you were ready?" Any help is appreciated.
