How do others feels about requesting manners from other children?
I'm UK based so this may not resonate with parents from other countries, but I wonder how my fellow parents feel about this?
I'm proud that I have(I know it sounds obnoxious) instilled good manners in my son; he must say please and thank you and he naturally says 'pardon' if he has misheard something.
I wouldn't expect the same from every child, but if I ask a child if they want something etc, if they don't use manners, I'll just politely say something such as "yes, what?", hoping for a please.
I feel this is appropriate but wondered if anyone heard this as a parent, would they feel I was overstepping the mark?
