Building My First Gaming PC After Years of Laptop Gaming
Hi everyone!!
I’m planning to build my first proper gaming PC next month mainly for 1440p gaming, and I’d love some advice before I start buying parts.
I’ve mostly been a laptop gamer till now, and my last desktop was an ancient potato PC with an Intel Pentium + 2GB DDR2 RAM so this is a pretty big jump for me.
These are the components/peripherals I already have:
Monitor: LG 32G600A (Looking forward to upgrade to a 4K monitor soon)
Keyboard: Kreo Swarm 75% Wireless Keyboard
Mouse: Kreo Chimera V2 Wireless Mouse
These are the components I currently have in mind : PickPCParts Part List

Since I’m still pretty new to PC building, I wanted to ask:
- Anything here that should be upgraded/downgraded?
- Any compatibility issues I should watch out for?
- Is there anything beginners usually forget while building?
- Any recommendations for airflow, PSU headroom, thermals, etc.?
Would really appreciate any suggestions before I pull the trigger next month. Thanks!
