Struggling to balance growth vs stability in my small business.

Hey everyone, I run a small business that is been doing okay for the past couple of years. Lately, I have been torn between reinvesting profits to grow faster(new hires, marketing, expansion) versus keeping things lean and stable(saving cash, minimizing risk).

On one hand, growth feels exciting and necessary to stay competitive. On the other hand, I worry about overextending and losing the stability I have worked hard to build. I would love to hear from other business owners or people with experience.

How do you decide when it's the right time to push for growth versus staying conservative?

What factors do you personally consider before scaling up your business?

3Fs I recently discovered!

While learning business theories I came across a topic in a book. That topic was 3Fs to scale your business 10 times and I found it interesting. I'd like to share my knowledge to all if it helps someone.

Frame: Set up an impossible(big) goal and set up a strategy to achieve it. A strong frame helps you make good decisions, shape your vision, solve every problem, stay positive, not settle in low and think long term instead of reacting emotionally.

Floor: This will raise your standards, what you will and you will not tolerate. Remove unnecessary people, clients, habits that are not supporting to your vision.

Focus: Concentrating on only one path that will give you best results. Many businesses fail because they try to do many things at once.

Which business can I start in low budget?

I'm 24 year old female. Recently I was thinking to start my something own as I am free for about 3-4 months.

I have overall savings of 10-12k from my last salary, I can invest it to start something along with my full my effort and time.

The problem is, I'm not sure what should I start with, I'm not specially skilled in something specific, average at everything. Neither too confident in public.

I want to ask (especially women, but men too); Did you face this kind of situation and how did you overcome? What was your startup story?

Or should move to a metro city and find out a decent job?

[Discussion] How to read effectively?

Whenever I read a book I forget the story or main points with time. In case of study I do regular revision(make notes also) but other than study, fictional or psychological books I don't read again. Taking detailed notes while reading also makes the process very slow for me. Is there any other middle way in which I can read those books effectively in less time?
