I'm pretty much still a beginner. I've been 3 times and finally got the hang of heel edge, and can switch to toe edge perpendicular to the mountain (cannot link turns yet). But then the season ended. I want to go much more this upcoming season, but figured buying would be more economical than renting, overall.

I started getting comfortable with heel edge on a Nidecker board and they seem to have great sales right now, so was considering the Nidecker Play or the Nidecker Merc. Any suggestions between these two or is there a better option.
