Quick tip for Samsung Internet on Windows:
On Samsung Internet for Windows, Netflix loaded fine for me (login, catalog, etc.) but every title got stuck on an infinite loading spinner with no error message. On the same PC, the same account worked perfectly in Chrome and Firefox.
What fixed it consistently was changing the user agent override:
>Open internet://flags in Samsung Internet for Windows.
>Find “Samsung user agent override”.
>Change it from Default to Chrome.
>After this, Netflix playback started working normally.
I have already reported this behaviour on the Samsung Developer Forums and also to Netflix support, including this user agent workaround, so both sides are at least aware of it. In the meantime, I’m sharing this here in case it helps other Samsung Internet for Windows users.
This same user agent change also used to fix a separate issue with the SponsorBlock extension’s YouTube feed on Samsung Internet for Windows. I reported that to the SponsorBlock developer on GitHub and it has now been fixed in the extension, so the UA override is no longer needed for SponsorBlock, but it still helps with Netflix.
Posting this here in case anyone else runs into Netflix (or other sites) being “broken” on Samsung Internet for Windows. If this workaround helps you too, a quick comment would be useful data for Samsung and Netflix.
