Socially awkward Jim vs socially awkward Jayden

The housing market is especially brutal for young men's self esteem.

The housing market has been eating its way through the second income for decades and it seems like there's not much left. Polygamy is not realistic so where to next?

Most people are afraid to discuss the impact of the second income as it can lead to accusations of being against equality, which is silly. Anyway, the second income has basically been absorbed by the housing market, and there will not be another comparable fuel supply, unless Australia embraces polygamy which is not going to happen. Therefore, the crazy price rises must be over, unless there is something I am missing here.

Could Orca scarecrows be an alternative to shark nets?

Surely it would be pretty cheap and easy to produce fake Orcas with rubber fins that flex and move with the movement of the water. Maybe they could also be solar powered and produce orca calls.

A few close in near the beach would surely help protect swimmers.

It could just be limited to known great white shark attack hotspots, like certain beaches on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia where surfers are taken quite often.

Has high capital growth driven by property investors become an important part of the package for first home buyers?

At extremely high prices, some FHB demand must have been partly based on the expectation of $100k+ annual equity gains. This must have helped justify stretching to enter the market and to cope psychologically with paying so much for so little.

Does stretching to pay $900k for an entry level home become too difficult to financially and emotionally justify if the $100K annual gains are gone?
