I'm visiting Tokyo for a week and want to see the Japanese Oaks. Is it possible to buy ticket at the gate?
I’m looking for some advice on how to secure tickets for a G1 race in Japan (specifically the Japanese Oaks). Is an online reservation just recommended, or is it strictly required like Japanese Derby?
MY PROBLEM: I’ve tried signing up for a JRA membership, but I’m stuck at the card confirmation step because my bank won’t send the verification/otp code. I suspect it's being blocked because my country has strict restrictions on gambling sites—even JRA racecards and results I couldn't access it.
Since I’m having no luck online, is it possible to just buy tickets at the gate? I know G1 races are massive events, so I'm worried about the crowds and the risk of being turned away. Also, if I do manage to get in, how long are the lines for the betting windows? I’d really like to try placing a bet while I’m there. Thanks in advance for the guidance!
