Goodbye birth control, HELLO RAGE

Ladies, I am raging and can’t stop.

I’ve had the implant since I was 21. This year, I turned 29 and finally decided to go ‘natural’ and got my implant removed in April.

In May, a couple weeks after removal, my high school cystic acne started to come back but I got that under control (now) with the use of tretinoin. May period was normal.

But in June, a switch flipped and I cannot control my rage. I am completely losing it after any minor inconvenience and my anger is through the roof. I feel so tense at times that its frustrating, especially when it’s for no reason. My sleep hasn’t been as deep as it was before and everything is just UGH.

I have thought about seeing a therapist and am trying different herbal and supplemental remedies to try to control my hormones but some days it’s hard.

Has anyone else gone through this? What helped? How long did it take?

I’m tired of being grumpy and mean 😭

Hi all! I’m an RN with L4-L5-S1 bulging discs and for the past two years I’ve dealt with significant pain and the unpleasant works that come with back issues.

Anyways, over the past few months I’ve gotten better and I am slowly going back to the gym and weight lifting (carefully) and also trying to workout my hip and deep core muscles with exercises I learned in PT last year.

HOWEVER, I have not been able to lay flat (neither prone or supine) in 2 years and I am tired of my wedge at night!! If I lay flat for 5-10 minutes, my lower back feels so achey, painful, and on fire that it takes me a good 5 minutes to situate my skeleton once I’m standing.

My question is: what exercises should I be doing so that I can achieve a good night’s sleep without an infinite amount of pillows and pain?

Sincerely, A tired nurse
