Des

Here is my version of Desdemona from Miniatures Den.

Really happy to paint this bust entirely on stream and a great sculpt to paint. Tried something different with her skin, trying to make her look demonic, not sure if it works or just makes her look 'dirty' lol. The skull was huge and hard to paint so kept it darker and older looking to contract with the brighter and more colorful element around the model. All in all, a great sculpt and great fun.

Chain Devil

Here is my version of the Chain Devil from Claymore Miniatures.

This was one of the first stl's I bought when I started 3d printing just over 3 years ago now and have always wanted to paint it and do it justice. Well, that time had come and it was a blast putting paint to this huge (95mm) model.

A great sculpt and a joy to paint, although some of the chain links are a little dubious...hmmm.

I wanted to paint him big a bold, hence the bright green skin, but I think it works well and am very happy with it.

Volhk Kor

Here is my version No 2 of the Volhk-Kor Bust from Hugo Gomez.

Enjoyed painting a 2nd version of this wonderful sculpt from Hugo, one of the best academic sculpts out there (IMHO). Tried some different colors this time and moved the collar out a bit in zbrush to give better access to the face parts.

Great fun, my do another one soon in very different colors.

Nurgle Preacher

Here is my version of the Nurgle Preacher/Cultist Bust from Me.

This was such a great project to complete, sculpted and painted by yours truly. It is based on one of my favourite Adrian Smith drawings from many moons ago, from the Realms of Chaos book (I think).

I have also sculpted a full 75mm version of this character too and hope to paint him soon.

The Brute

Here is my version of the Brute Bust from Me.

Another one of my own sculpts I've painted and a great fun job to do. I wanted to try and paint a much ore (Vallejo inspired) fantasy skin tone on this guy and really enjoyed the process, still trying to paint more 'sketcherly' and loose, which shows I think, there is much less emphasis on blending and more on placement and lighting'

I am enjoying this new way of painting (for me) and continuing to explore what is possible. I could definitely spend more time blending etc. but the fun is in getting through a piece and moving on to the next one lol...

Orc Bust

Here is my version of the Orc Bust from ME.

Second of my own sculpts I have painted and really enjoyed this big guy. I love orcs and wanted to do something a little different with him. All colors were worked up from a dark purple base and love how the skin came out, a joy to paint even if I do say so myself lol.

Orc

Here is my version of a female Orc Bust from Polina Shaman.

Another sketching fun piece to paint. I am really trying to embrace a more sketcherly approach to my painting and really enjoying it. It feels much more 'looser' to approach a piece and is quite freeing in terms of the process and outcome. I am just going with the flow with these pieces and seeing where it takes me. I love the finish on this piece, the skin and the hair I think came out really well, but the gold bits really suck lol, so may revisit them at some point.

A really great sculpt and such a great face to paint. I found this on Artstation and had not heard of the sculptor before, but, a cracking bust and...it was FREE!!!! bonus.
