Should I replace my panel?
Looking to install a tesla charger. Currently have an old Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) Stab-Lok panel from the 80's. I am running nothing on that panel except a few lights (its in a garage). I had an electrician come in and said he could wire up the charger if I wanted him to. I got a quote of 4k to swap the panel, get the permits, and install the charger. Or $1500 to hook up just the charger. These prices include the price of the charger. WWYD?
