My cat has this patch on the back of her ear, no where else on her body. It looks like dry skin, almost flaking as you can see. I only noticed it recently.

She hasn’t shown any signs of irritation. Isn’t scratching at it I’ve seen. Isn’t bothered by me touching the area. No discharge seen. Just a little bald spot with a scabby spot.

Not sure when this goes from monitoring it to a vet visit I guess.
