Pregnant women are denied bodily autonomy on the basis of maintaining the life of the child. In a lot of states, as long as complications haven't extended to the point of lethality, you are restricted from abortion even prior to independent viability. If the point of denying a human being their fundamental right to bodily autonomy is to protect the life of the child, then that expectation should extend past birth. During pregnancy and after birth, fathers should be required by law to undergo any non-lethal procedure that would extend the life of their child. The kid needs a kidney? You're getting it cut out of you whether you want to or not.
I initially posted this on r/unpopularopinion and it got removed. (I should clarify: it was removed as a topic violation) Posting this here now. Not because I think people will agree with me, but because I'm genuinely interested y'all's reaction to this. I think the concept is valid, albeit a bit insane. I mean, it's basically just reverse 'Unwind' if you think about it.
