Jonathan is a very dour and serious guy, so I’ve always found it funny that he reads the statements with fear or conviction or emotion in general. obviously the real reason is because it’s more engaging to have the person reading it to you sound like they’re the one who experienced it, but I was wondering if there’s ever an actual reason given for why he (fictional Jonathan sims) tries so hard to make the statements sound the way they do. I always notice what a stark contrast there is between the final line of a statement and him going “statement ends” before doing his little commentary. and honestly, knowing sims (fictional sims) as a person I feel he’d be embarrassed to be seen or heard putting so much effort into his delivery. idk. I haven’t finished the series yet, so if there is an explanation let me know. without spoilers, ideally.
