navigating the body
hi there! (please remove if this isn’t a good place to inquire) (and this is a long one btw!!)
anyway, inhabiting nondual practices in my life has shifted my worldview to something that i feel like has been completely expansive and immersive. i find that life isn’t as static and dense as i once believed it to be, but there is one thing in particular that im grappling with.. which is the body
i have comprehension of the fact that i am NOT just “the body” or the character i play within this world, and i am NOT separate from anything, and if anything, there is no “self” to be separate from. i typically live by this in most cases of my life. it frees me from stagnation in terms of what i choose to experience.
the thing is, i am on a journey to experience a particular physique. i’ve been buying into very specific, very human ways of achieving this (working out, eating healthy) and i will say it has an impact, but i still struggle with these conditions i put onto myself about it. for example, i feel as though the only way i can lose weight is by 100% eating within my calorie deficit. that’s fine, but also i feel that very dense.. pressure that comes with it. i fully want to embody this version of myself with pure knowing that it’s already something that exists. i already AM this. but the thing is, i still feel like there’s limitations i put into myself. and i am well aware of that. claims that things are simply genetic and certain attributes are just impossible. feeling like im not doing things right, or just buying well into the illusion. it kinda takes me away from acceptance of “being” it. i find it quite difficult almost to feel like i can just BE this particular identity, unlike most other aspects within my life. if there is any advice, or just anyone with general knowledge that could chime in, i would so gladly appreciate it! thank you so much!!
