Hi folks, is there any place close to Palo Alto which sells touristic Cali postcards?

Hi, we‘d like to visit Yosemite mid May on a Friday. I read terrible stories about the parking situation… is it still fine mid May or should we take the bus? We planned to stay in Mariposa. Good choice or would you recommend something else?
