Outlook Desktop App freezing multiple times a day – tried everything, nothing works. Help?

Hi guys,

our CEO's Outlook App keeps crashing and I don't know what to do more..
This is the situation: he has a Surface, and uses Teams as well as Outlook as desktop app. Teams doesn't crash. His Outlook crashes in office WIFI, as well as when he is at home. He wants to use Outlook as the desktop app and didn't want to use the desktop version as alternative.

The app is freezing multiple times a day for about 2 weeks now. The only way to close it is via Task Manager. No new emails load when it happens. Restarting the PC doesn't help.

Here's everything I've tried so far:

  1. Safe Mode (outlook.exe /safe) – same issue, so no Add-In problem
  2. Deleted and rebuilt the .ost file – didn't help
  3. Online Repair via Settings → Apps → Outlook → Advanced options → Repair – no change
  4. Checked Windows & Office Updates – all uptodate
  5. Fully uninstalled Office with Microsoft's SaRA tool and reinstalled fresh – still freezing
  6. Checked disk usage in Task Manager – nothing critical
  7. Checked free space on C: – enough available
  8. Checked RAM usage – looks fine
  9. Checked Event Viewer – looks fine
  10. Antivirus exclusion for Outlook – tested, no improvement
  11. Checked Exchange connection – appears stable

System is running Microsoft 365 on Windows. Anyone have any ideas what else could cause this? Could it be hardware related?

Thanks in advance!

TIFU by ignoring my Bachelor's for 3 months

Hi,

i am feeling so shitty in the last months (being sexually assaulted at work, partner losing job, my mother threatening to kill herself if I don't separate with him, etc). It all came one after another, and unfortunately, I have REALLY slacked off from university. It was hard having to get up from bed alone. With my supervisor we hadn't written since 3 months (11 weeks to be more clear) and today he wrote to me if everything is okay.

I replied with saying I wanted to write to him as well, and I was feeling embarrassed on writing him since we hadn't for a long time and I really am interested in the topic and want to write with him. He left me on read.

So today I fucked up by literally ignoring something that would be good for my academical career and probably also elongated my studies. If I don't turn in my thesis by September, I am kicked out of the studies. I am soo fucked and it is literally the cherry on top right now lmaooo

TL;DR: I didn't do anything for my bachelor's because of mental problems and now I might be kicked out of university
