Contractors for Kitchen

I am looking to get estimates for my damaged kitchen floor. State Farm is paying. I’ve been working with Orion but want a couple other opinions. So I need someone that will not only put flooring in but also remove the rest of the floor, replace the back steps, move appliances, replace baseboards, haul away old material, and potentially replace cabinets (I was told all cabinets will need replaced and potentially countertops if damaged in the process).

Does anyone have any recommendations? I had Home Depot come out and they will only do the floor, nothing else. My kitchen has looked like this since June and I’m scared it won’t get done before it gets cold. I can see outside through the cracks in the floor!

Distillery or winery tours?

I’m planning a summer office gathering for 10-12 people and I am looking at potentially a distillery or winery tour. I’m also looking for places that offer wine making or something along those lines. We are mostly remote but the independence area is central for most of us so I’m looking for something between Akron and Cleveland - nothing further south. We are a chill group of 30-50 year olds who like to eat, drink, and be merry.

I called It’s Your Winery in Medina but the voice mail for both numbers are full/not set up which doesn’t give me a great feeling.

Cleveland Whiskey offers tours but the hours are super limited. We don’t want to do a Saturday.

Any recommendations?

Four Quadrant Road Trip

Hello fellow Ohioans -

Can’t do a big vacation this year so I am hoping to do some one-day or overnight trips with my kids (17 and 11). I’d like to explore some areas they haven’t seen before and maybe a few family favorites and divide it into 4 trips - NE, SE, SW, NW. Budget is an issue.

We live in Akron so we’ve done a ton of CVNP hiking and Lake Erie swimming. I lived in Columbus and have family in Hocking Hills so we’ve spent a lot of time there. Our least explored areas are NW by a large margin and SW. We did a Cincy trip 2 years ago.

We like hiking, small towns, ice cream, novelty
Daughter (oldest) - adventure, luxury, adrenaline
Son (youngest) - relaxing, family fun, passive entertainment (movies, tours, etc) - super afraid of heights!

Not super interested in theme parks or places that are super crowded. Really enjoy little museums and discovering fun little shops or restaurants.

Any ideas? Here are some of mine:

NEO - ??? Lakeview, Geneva?

NW - Maumee Bay, Kelly’s island (we’ve camped here but it’s been several years)

SE - Athens, Burr Oak (been to both but not as regularly as Hocking Hills and lake hope), Marietta

SW - Yellow Springs

Thanks!

Seamstress recs

Looking for someone in the Akron/Summit County area who does durable repairs on heavy-duty work pants/workwear. Need a reinforced crotch repair on a pair of Duluth Firehose pants, ideally using extra fabric from the inside pocket material if possible. More concerned with strength/durability than making it invisible.

I have a specific budget in mind and little idea about what this might cost. I can do minor repairs but sewing isn’t my strong suit. Any recommendations?
