Did the pet laws relax somehow over the last year?

Im seeing more and more people bringing dogs inside that are clearly not service animals. Mostly it's coffee houses and hardware stores, but i thought that wasn't allowed? Or have businesses just stopped trying to enforce?

Not a biggie, just curious.

Blossom Music Center rules

Hello. I'll be going to Blossom for the first time ever. I've read all the posts available and there's great advice. I bought the vip parking and we booked on a hotel closer to the venue vs sheraton ( we want a shorter drive in the dark) my question is that I see some posts about purses. I was planning to bring my usual crossdbody purse..we also want to know if there's a dress code for the pavilion or if our jeans and sneakers will be ok. Thank you@

Ride to doctor

I live in West Akron, almost in Fairlawn, and I am in need of a driver to take me to and from my appointment and stay there during the procedure. I’m having a lumbar steroid injection and the doctors office requires this. The office is on W. Market St, about 5 minutes from my home. Does anyone know of a service that would offer this? I don’t need any help, just a ride. Thanks🙏🏻

What is the deal with power outages in North Akron?

Particularly in the Merriman Valley area. We lost power last night for over 5 hours due to the storm, which made some sense (even though I still think it happens too often). But then in the middle of the day today while it's nice and sunny and nothing is going on, it shut back off with an ETR of 8pm due to "inclement weather"...

I've lived in the Merriman Valley area for 2 years now and over the course of that 2 years the outages are becoming noticeably more frequent to the point that we are now considering moving (since we rent).

But does anyone know the why? We lived near barberton for two years before this and I dont recall one single power outage during that two year span. And we were in an older neighborhood there.

Edit to add: What do you know, less than 24 hours after making this post, we have lost power for the 3rd time since Friday night. Impressive.

Looking for black raspberries

Hello, newer to the area and wanting to make a black raspberry pie, looking for a farm stand or market in the Akron area that sells them, I figured this should be about the time of year that they should be available. I have checked the CVNP farmer's market, and szalay's market.

4th of July festivities?

Still relatively new the the area kinda. Are there any places in Akron or the surrounding areas that have parades for the 4th going on? And outside of Akron are there any fireworks going on this weekend that you think are worth going to see? TIA

Local Survey - 250 IRL

Local artist, Althea Jones (Akron by way of Cleveland) is conducting a survey for a new art project. In light of the country's 250th birthday, and its inclusion into many localities' public exhibitions and summer events, she's interested in the thoughts and feelings of NEO'ers at this time.

If inclined, below you'll find the short Google Form. Also, feel free to share the survey with anyone you feel would be interested.

The survey will close on July 4th.

Please, thank you and be well.

Hello I am currently in a lease for a solo apartment right off campus literally a minute walk to campus. And I am looking to transfer the lease. Rent is 400 a month, and all utilities are included the only thing you would have to pay is for internet. If anybody is interested or knows somebody interested message me.

Fireworks view?

My elderly mom would like to see fireworks on Saturday night. Is there a good spot to park and see the ones downtown? Doesn't have to be close, being able to see them from far away is fine. Just not sure where a good vantage point is that we can sit in the car.

Lemonade Stand Tomorrow

not my event just spreading the word since it’s hot as balls outside and we need the community

A friend of mine is helping her little brother with a lemonade stand tomorrow. The goal is to help him make enough to where he can buy his own bike. If you have the time to spare to drive by and stop and get a cup that would be awesome. She will be running the stand till they’re completely out of product so I’ll try to keep people updated when she’s close to running low.
