recently found this Jenny Caribbean 1500 in an antique store. Upon researching I learned that it was the first watch to offer 1000m water resistance in the 60’s.
From wearing it for the last few days, the thing that stands out to me the most is the acrylic or bakelite bezel. It has a quality which is hard to describe, but its captivating. The numerals and indices have a mother of pearl like quality in the light. The lume has aged beautifully into a warm hue. The domed crystal looks very thick, and is like looking into a porthole of a submarine. The case is also a monocoque case, which is part of the triple-safe system used to achieve the depth rating.
