Cyberpunk 2077 LUT Comparison

I'm sorry, I misspelled Preem 2 in one screenshot, it should be Preem 3.

OG is original, I just want to make it shorter.

LUT is like color grading/tone in a game, it changes how the colors look without affecting performance. It's available not only in Cyberpunk 2077. This is a mod on Nexusmods. The installation is easy, you just copy and paste one file into the directory.

Tested on High texture + color precision High + anisotropy 16x + native resolution 800p. At the same time and weather.

Game runs still same in terms of performance and FPS.

As you can see the original tone is more yellow ish, in Preem 3 it's more green ish, in Nova 3 it's like Original but the yellow ish is downgraded or more lighter.

▲ 100 r/SteamDeck

I'm replaying Cyberpunk on Deck rn, I beat the game in 2024 on pc, I'm trying to enjoy every scenery, quest and exploration cuz in my 1st playthrough I feel rushed while playing (took me 80h to beat with the dlc).

Note : I'm using NOVA Lut, that's why the tone is different.

This tweak is only tested on base game (I only bought standard edition).

I wanted to share my Tweak for the game to maximize the visual quality and performance friendly 😉 :

- Eclipse mod v2 = boost the performance.

- CPU Optimization v3 = use the minimum version.

- General Performance Improvements (ini Tweaks) - Updated for 2.0 = only grab 'CP77Performance_IniTweaks_(ASYNC_ENABLED).zip'.

- True Performance optimizer - Fix Stutter Stabilize FPS (X3D AMD INTEL) = only grab 'LOW CPU 4 - Cores'.

That's it, download the mod from Nexusmods except Eclipse mod in Telegram official (ez install BTW just copy and paste without installing 3rd party app).

- LSFG = if you wanted to use LSFG, make sure to set the Vsync to half of your refresh rate like 30hz for LCD (I'm using 70Hz mod so it's 35Hz), and 45Hz for OLED, DON'T use Max frame rate.

- Decky Frame Gen / DLSS Enabler = unlock the low latency settings in the game, also you can unlock FSR 4 but I'm not using it cuz the performance is worse than native.

- Upscaling = I'm using FSR 3 but the grass quality is shimmering, you can use FSR 2 instead and it's better but the motion it have is worse than FSR 3 (FSR 2&3 is performs same on quality), Xess quality performance is a Lil bit worse than FSR 2 & 3.

- AMD Simultaneous = I'm turning it off cuz it's recommended by the Eclipse dev, it makes my avg fps +1 rather than leave it at on.

- HDD Mode = I didn't notice differences in terms of quality so I turned it on to make the renders better, the loading screen is same and fast so don't worry.

- Nova Lut 3 = change the color tone of the game, not affecting the performance, I recommend using it if you already beat the game, for the 1st playthrough I suggest keep it at vanilla color tone (keeping the Aesthetic).

Optional, result may different from mine if you didn't use this :

- Cryoutilities = stabilize the RAM and VRAM management.

- SDWEAK = improvement in system responsiveness and gaming experience (read the github for more info).

- 70Hz refresh rate LCD mod = not in a hardware BTW, it's a tweak, it's great for reducing the latency when using LSFG.

They're installed straight on the Steam Deck.

FPS in image benchmark is native FPS.

LSFG is more stable than Frame Gen in the game but you can get an artifact in weapon swinging (only if you fast enough)

I'm using LSFG btw, I'm on 40H playtime rn.

Your choice, you can play it with native fps, frame Gen fps, fake frames by lossless scaling.

Yes I know this game have Steam Deck preset but it's sucks.

Wow, the comments are full of arguments lmao always complaining about anything even when someone enjoy it, I literally said this is a 'tweak for the game to maximize visual quality while remaining performance-friendly.' This tweak is for anyone who wants to achieve higher FPS and better stability. Sure, you can play the game without mods, but the performance is rough. On low settings, you might hit 40 FPS with worse upscaling quality, but while driving fast? It drops to the 20s. I played the game without mods before and experienced those frame drops myself, I even looked up videos on YouTube, and the average FPS is usually around 30+.

With these mods, you can significantly boost performance. As you can see, even with my settings which are a mix of Ultra to low I’m reaching 47 FPS. Imagine if you lowered the settings further, you could hit 60 FPS without Frame Gen and enjoy driving without the FPS dropping into the 20s. Some of these mods even fix that ugly fog bug inside houses and apartments.

I mentioned the image is cleaner because this mod reduces noisy particles on the camera. I also said it removes blurriness because of the improved sharpness, better camera effects, and optimized upscaling quality. I also said maximize visual quality because it doesn't hit the quality that hard, you can even use higher texture with these mod without that bullshi pixelated shadows.

For everybody who don't know this YouTuber:

"we make videos about video games. Enjoy Top 10s, the Friday news show, Before You Buy reviews and first impressions, and more."

I like the contents from them, they're honest and interesting to watch, I even watch them after completing the game.
