Traveling with a dog in Australia is either easy or a nightmare.

I had my staffy for four years. First two years, I basically stopped taking holidays because the logistics of finding pet-friendly accommodation that wasn't either a sketchy motel or eye-wateringly expensive felt like too much effort.

Then someone told me to look at caravan parks instead of hotels and Airbnbs.

Caravan parks have been offering pet-friendly accommodations for decades because half their guests arrive with a dog in the back seat. I found caravan parks with powered sites where dogs are genuinely welcome, and not "tolerated for a $200 pet fee" welcome, actually welcome.

Took her to a park near the Murray River last autumn. She spent three days losing her mind in the best possible way. I spent three days sitting outside reading. It was the most relaxed either of us had been in a while.

The one caveat worth knowing: most parks have rules about dogs in cabins (usually not allowed) and school holiday restrictions on pet sites. Worth reading the fine print. But outside of those windows, it's genuinely the easiest way to travel with a dog in this country.

If you found anything else, please tell me, I'm always looking for new spots.

Tinder match with this guy feels electric but now I’m second-guessing everything… should I still go?

I (27F) matched with this guy on Tinder 10 days ago and the conversation has been shockingly good. He’s funny, quick with replies, sends voice notes that actually make me laugh out loud, and we’ve talked about music, travel, random deep stuff at 2am. We have drinks planned for tomorrow night and I was really looking forward to it. But we both did the quick compatibility test for fun with a lot of questions about us, future goals etc. and when I checked the results… it was rough. The chemistry feels so real but the report is making me spiral, it says we’re great for short-term fun but probably bad long-term on values, future plans, and how we deal with conflict.

Now I’m stuck debating:
Do I just go on the date anyway because the vibe is strong and these tests can be total BS?
Or am I being smart by pumping the brakes before it turns into another situationship?

I’m 27 and kinda tired of wasting time, but I also don’t want to cancel on someone who seems this fun just because of one AI check.

What would you do in my spot? Has anyone else had a Tinder guy that felt perfect on chat but something made you hesitate? Go or cancel? Still meet him tomorrow?

Who did you build with, and would you actually recommend them?

My partner and I are getting closer to building, and honestly, the hardest part so far has been figuring out which builder people actually trust long term. Every company looks good online, but once you start reading reviews and talking to people, the experiences can be very different. We recently spoke with Mellross Homes while comparing builders around Canberra and regional NSW, and it made me curious how other people chose theirs in the end.

For those who have already built, with whom did you go, and would you genuinely recommend them now that the process is finished? I'm especially interested in how they handled communication, delays, pricing changes, and problems during the build rather than just the final result.

my setup looks fine in person, but on camera it always looks kinda dull or uneven

I’ve got a window to the side, and I think that’s part of the problem - sometimes I look super bright, other times like I’m in a cave depending on the weather

don’t really want to go full influencer mode with crazy lighting gear, just want something simple that works consistently

has anyone found a basic setup that actually makes a difference? like one light, placement tips, etc.

I didn’t expect to get this attached to a portable setup, but after switching to a triple-screen laptop from Xenova, and I can’t see myself going back to a full desktop setup

I used to have the typical PC arrangement, you know like a tower on the desk, cables everywhere, extra monitor arms, chargers, adapters, and even when it worked well, it always felt a little cluttered. And I hate that..

I’ve realized I work better when my space is clean and minimal. Too much stuff on my desk somehow makes me distracted all the time. I start looking at my stuff, remecise about things…

But I think I need to mention that I still need multiple screens because of the kind of work I do, so downsizing without losing productivity felt almost impossible for a while.

Now I’m thrilled that I’ve got everything in one device let’s say, that I can move around, and my desk finally looks how I always wanted it to

You know, it’s not something really life-changing or anything dramatic, just one of those small wins that quietly makes my daily work better and more productive
