PSA: Be careful about using Coach dust bags for storage.

This came up in another thread yesterday so I researched it: Coach just sent a new $600 bag out to me with a polyester dust bag. I can’t say if/when that changed, but leather handbags should never be stored in non-breathable polyester or synthetic dust bags. These materials restrict airflow and trap heat and moisture; increasing the risk of mold and mildew growth, dry rot, and material flaking/peeling/cracking. Leather is a natural porous material that requires constant ventilation.

Use Natural Fabrics: Always choose breathable soft cotton, muslin or linen dust bags. If you don't have one, a clean, unbleached cotton pillowcase works perfectly.

Silver hardware lovers: Coach Chain Tabby 30 on Amazon

Amazon can occasionally be risky for buying Coach bags, but my bag was factory-wrapped and beautiful.

My ironic observation of the day:

Coach, who describes itself as “accessible luxury” makes it nearly impossible to access its most popular bags. These are 3 bags I would like to own and my only access to them is to pay marked-up prices to bag scalpers (who Coach enables).
