I was browsing and saw this new charm coming out and I have to say that I am very twisted by it. Pun intended.

It looks like my 11yo did it in her arts class. Maybe its a bad pic??? 😂

They do have some other beautiful ones though- the cherries and a pink mushroom are so cute, the little squirrel is hilarious 😆

But Im not running bc Im saving my cash for the cherry embroidered suede. Gosh dang it- more fucking suede. BUT it has cherries on it I can move past that haha

The Brain Dead Dakota was just staring at me, so I had to get it! 🤣

So now I have two BOTD as a result!! 🥹

Heads up, the Coachtopia dustbags are now entirely polyester instead of cotton — so, not great for their purpose of storage (leather needs to breathe, anyway, but natural fiber dustbags are better at that, not retaining odor, not trapping moisture, etc.)

It was already disappointing enough that the lobster clasps on the swappable straps were made more cheaply (I assume the failing tension is due to a garbage spring in the mechanism) on my last few Rogue and Runway bags — I can only imagine other styles must have been affected by that, if their flagship and archival re-editions were.

I only came back to Coach because of the revival of the retail styles reentering the higher fashion scene a few years ago in a way that better aligned with their established track record of providing amazing leather quality and pricing…so I’d really hope they don’t lose steam by cutting QC costs to ramp up production to appease the more fast-fashion & trend-driven consumerism ~

Anyone else experiencing these patterns, or is some of this just unlucky, coincidence that seems to frequently find its way to me?

I'm sincerely sorry to the Coachies who are sick of seeing this bag, but I finally got to use her today and I just need somewhere to gush about it 💖 As a big bag girlie, I am begging for more large options like this from Coach (preferably with better strap options). Now we just need more colors and styles!

This will be 5th Juliet!!!! I’ve been ISOing this bag for over a month!!!! Finally someone offered her to me and I’m so happy with her!!! This bag is nowhere to be found resale, just happy to add a large black and silver bag to my collection, while I was worried about the Juliet everyone was freaking about the Rhyder, I knew this bag was for me!

Looks like a reseller / scalper was able to get two of the Halloween Reloved bags that showed up during the last drop and already has them both listed for $900 each 🤢🤮 EYUCK! These are the type of people who ruin just wanting to enjoy & have fun with bags. Really grinds my gears. No one buy these so they’re stuck with them permanently!!

39 m, new to the bag world. I’ve been buying Coach SLG’s for years now, my sister has been a Coachie since her teens, and my dad has bought a couple crossbody bags in the past year. So I finally decided to take the plunge into bags. Obsessed over the Empire 40, and got this one for a great price. Coming from the world’s of sneakers, watches and other collectibles I’ve noticed a lot of parallels with the drop madness and resellers. 😂

So my order was broken up into whatever was available whenever but nothing was cancelled. This is the first batch of concert tickets to arrive. They are bigger in hand than I thought and most of my bags are smaller 😆 so not sure yet if they work for me. This is 4 of 7 ordered. I have pink, purple, and friendship black still coming.

BRIEF REVIEW: They are made of nice and flexible/supple handbag leather. The tears are really torn leather, not printed. The ink/dye almost looks block printed but they aren't old schoolin' these. The unprinted back sides are brighter unprinted leather. The ball chains and clasps are sturdy but the clasps are not Coach embossed so I'll just grab silver hardware ballchain for my silvers. They have the mini brass hangtags which are standard for charms. $20 is fair given other charm prices.

I don't have time right now so tossed them on top (literally) of some leather and suede bags both vintage and new to display with a few colors: black currant, dark ruby, dark chocolate suede, warm brown suede, vintage glovetanned british tan, vintage glovetanned navy, vintage glovetanned black. Now back to work, enjoy!

I've been a coachie for more than a minute and some of these new trends are kinda irking; such as " Loved Leather". I have plenty of loved leather bags, and they have the use and memories to go into them. Imagine going crazy and even fighting with ppl over a new bag that's meant to look worn. Put in the time and enjoy your bag into the worn state.

Secondly, the "slouchy" bag craze is weird. This, too, comes with wear. I have loved several of my bags for so many years, they are so slouchy and smooshy, they are practically moosh.

I like a new bag to have structure and a integral paint job. The worn look is earned, and is silly bought.

The last part of this rant is, of course, the worst part; people who buy up all the new beat-up looking bags and try to scalp good ppl online just trying to get a bag for what it's worth. You reap what you sow. You'll get yours.

At the end of the day, people like what they like, no matter my opinions, but I can't help noticing the irony. Enjoy your bags, love them well.

P.S. I've seen a few people complaining about the loved leather bags creasing (more irony, if you use a smooth leather piece, creasing is part of the wear or " loved" look you seek).

I’ve been caught up in the Rhyder hype lately and watching a lot of videos about the pros and cons of the bag. It does seem like an amazing reissue, with modern slouch and retro details (the OG is from 2014 and not technically vintage but it does have vintage styling!). I knew I’d prefer the 24 over the large size, and I just haven’t had luck with the various drops.

I also saw some videos where people were talking about the front pocket being small or unusable. And honestly I’m tired of attaching an extra strap to my bags so I can wear them as shoulder bags.

So I started listing what I liked about the bag - the front Turnlock, the thick handles, the corner details, and the stitching. And then I thought of what I don’t love about the bag - the rivets, the small handle straps, how thin the bag is, and needing an extra strap.

End result was this amazing score on Poshmark! It’s a 2007 SoHo Satchel (J0771-11539). It fits everything! Not only does it scratch the Rhyder itch but it also satisfies my other itch for a Rowan with longer handles. It was also only $115, so massive savings compared to the Rhyder.

Anyway!! Long story short; Coach has made a spectacular number of bags, many iterating on specific design details over and over. If you are missing out on a hyped bag, always consider researching older styles :) you never know what you’ll find!
