There’s so many firsts with this bag. It’s my first shearling bag, my first pink bag and my first bag with a face on it! 😊

In honour of my bag bestie and fellow mod u/oysterpails naming her shearling Empire as Bender, my Empire is now named Oyster! 🦪

It’s funny I influenced her first with pics of the shearling Empire before the Brain Dead drop and few months later, I’m influenced by her again to get the same bag!!! 🤣

I am so excited to finally complete my Brain Dead collection today!! 🤩

I just came back from Taipei last week and I brought home the lunch box. I’ve been coordinating with my favourite SA in Malaysia to try and get me the shearling Empire 34 and she finally delivered today!

I had some fun today with my new bags so I did a little photoshoot! 😊

I’m currently on holiday in Taipei and I just bought myself the Brain Dead Lunch Box! This unique piece is a one of a kind whimsical and fun bag and it deserves a spot in my collection! I’m surprised it’s still in stock in Taiwan.

For people looking for the Taipei skyline hangtag, only the Taipei 101 store and no other stores in Taiwan have the stamp. I couldn’t find this info anywhere before I came here. The Coach Play Chifeng Street store doesn’t have the skyline stamp either.

There’s also an exclusive printed boba tea and dumpling Taxi Tote which I find to be so adorable!! Unfortunately they are $250 so I’m gonna have to skip on this one. 😭

It’s ginormous!! I like how the bag slouches to my body shape! It’s a completely different effect when the bag is filled up. I was not expecting to like this bag due to the size of it but I came away loving this bag so much! The driftwood colour is my favourite of them all.

The Turnlock Messenger is going to be $695 in the US and dropping in Sept.

Let’s get right on to it!

The signature upcrafted leather on the Dakota and Mott doesn’t feel any different from canvas. If you tell me it’s canvas, I’ll believe you. It’s the only Dakota with gold hardware so hmmmm. I couldn’t get the canvas version to compare because it’s already discontinued.

The dual tone effect is more prominent in real life and can be seen better in brighter conditions. I like the effect because it gives the bag an aged look. I tried my best to capture the effect but it’s really much better looking in real life. The dual tone effect doesn’t have a price premium with their regular counterparts.

The studs on the studded Mott are not symmetrical so that is something that annoys me. It could be handmade who knows. It’s quite comfortable on the shoulder if anyone is wondering. The price of the studded mott will be more expensive by $50 than the equivalent LL variant.

For the sausage kisslock, I didn’t get to see the leather counterpart. I think it’s cute! I prefer carrying it like how runway does it 🥹

The most important thing of all is my bag of the day is the beautiful Rexy Dakota!!! 🦖

The dual toned Dakota will only arrive in the store tomorrow. Let’s see if I’m free to visit the store 😆 I would love to see the giant Turnlock Messenger if I get the chance.

For myself, I don’t feel like paying for another large Mott so I can have a different strap. I feel the strap should have been sold separately and the strap on the Mott should have been removable.

So they’re not canvas.
