Hi everyone,
I’m having a bit of an issue and hope you can help.
Today, I converted my DT Swiss G1800 wheels (which have the DT Swiss 370 hub and an XDR freehub) to an N3W freehub. Previously, I was running Fulcrum Rapid Red 900 wheels with an N3W freehub.
Here is what I did:
I pulled off the XDR freehub.
I placed the spring back onto the ratchets.
I mounted the seal onto the N3W freehub body and pushed it onto the hub.
Finally, I put the end cap on.
Everything sounded fine at first; the freehub had its typical clicking sound when I tested it by hand. However, once I installed the rear wheel and tightened it, the freehub locked up—the cranks kept spinning even after I let go. The freehub only functions correctly when the thru-axle is loosened.
From my own research, I’ve gathered that something is likely getting pinched or jammed, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
