My LP’s water dish has turned orange overnight?

Sorry for the poor quality photo. First time T owner, have had this boy for a few months, however this is the first time I’ve seen this happen. His water dish had just been refilled and cleaned the night before, but when I came downstairs to check on him it had turned orange hours later?

I’m pretty paranoid about my T’s care, as they’re so fragile. I also didn’t find any information on what the cause of this could be other than substrate potentially being mixed into the water, which I don’t think could be the case as the water is still clear.

Any advice?

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 7 months now, and have met his mum twice, and we’ve gotten along really well. I have old, very visible scars on one arm. To clarify, I haven’t engaged in the behaviour causing these scars for a couple of years now and am doing the best I ever have. However, both times I’ve met her I’ve been careful to wear long sleeves so she doesn’t see them. Eventually of course she will have to see them at some point, I can’t keep buying new sweaters every time I meet her lol. How would you guys react if this was to happen to you, from a parents perspective? Would you rather your child tells you privately about the scars first before seeing them? I’m feeling pretty lost and I end up dreading the thought of meeting his parents again in the off chance I need to wear short sleeves, and I’m worried that they’ll react badly. Any advice would help.
