Yo PC nerds, is 1.4v Vcore ‘safe’ for a 9600X. I want to attempt a locked 5600 or 5650 MHz in gaming.

My cooler is a Thermalright Phantom spirit 120 Evo. Not the greatest but temps don’t seem high despite when loading menus spike up to 120+ watts 80c temp in short bursts.

Is DDR5 6200 MT/s CL28 & FCLK 2067 MHz the “sweet spot” for AM5 gaming?

DDR5 Dual-Rank Hynix O-die
6200 MT/s 28-30-35-32-48

FCLK 2066.67 MHz

I think this is the “sweet spot” for non-EXPO systems.

Sometimes I wish I had a GPU powerful enough that would let me stress my CPU/RAM a bit more.

Ryzen 5 9600X 5.6 GHz all core

My 9600X barely handles a locked 5.6 GHz all core at 1.35v, sometimes with occasional crashing. Any 9600X owners with better OC results?

DDR5 6200 28-30-35-32-48 Hynix O-die setup

I know this is weak in the RAM overclocking world, but I still like this as a daily runner setup. Temps are pretty good as well.

idk why FGR mode is forced. I tried nearly everything but it stays in FGR.

TRCDWR can go lower but I just settled at 30 for best compatibility. Some of the other timings could possibly be tuned as well but I don't think it's worth the troubleshooting.

3DMark Steel Nomad DX12 score 3,028 points | RTX 3060 TI and Ryzen 5 9600X

Overclocked my 3060 TI in a few runs of Steel Nomad. Got 3,028 points which I believe is roughly on par with a stock 4060 TI and 5060; just a few % off a stock 3070.

I just did +235 Core and +1600 Memory in MSI afterburner. nothing crazy ofc.

PC specs: Ryzen 5 9600X (PBO) | 32 GB DDR5 tuned at 6200 MT/s CL28 1.45v | X870 Gigabyte Eagle Wifi 7 Motherboard | Samsung PM991 NVME SSD
