Water pump union advice (somewhat urgent)

Doing the water pump on my 2017 golf (1.8L TSI) and I want to make sure the union is properly seated before I start putting everything back together. I struggled with it for a while (kept getting cockeyed when inserting) but I feel good about this last mounting attempt. I put a borescope in there to make sure it went in straight and it looks good to me, but I'm not sure if it should be seated on there further? Does this look correct to you guys? I am waiting to reassemble until I get some opinions on this, so please let me know asap.

Best online parts store for this?

Need to do water pump replacement, and headlight assembly replacement on my 1.8L TSi. Can't find a website that sells both for a better price than rockauto. FCP and ShopDap are way too expensive on the headlights, even though I trust their water pump kits more. I'd like to order both from the same place to save time and money on shipping. Should I full send RA? Or split up the purchases and buy the wp from the "more reliable" source?
