Offering: Tagalog (Native), English | Seeking: Japanese (Native)

Hello everyone!

I'm 35M Filipino-American. I'm fluent in both Tagalog and English! Looking to find a language partner to practice Japanese and learn more about the culture. If you're looking to practice Tagalog or English, please reach out.

I'm currently using a tutor (about 4 lessons in so far), but I also want a language partner to be more casual with and have a more relaxed approach, but also have interesting, deep and consistent conversations. I'd love to talk about anything and everything!

I prefer someone who is native. I would love to make some genuine friends 😄

I'm into writing, art (drawing/painting), music (listening, playing a few instruments and singing), photography, anime, and gaming.

I'm fine with text, call or video call. We can use any app for communication!

Reasons for learning: I was finally able to visit Japan, a country I've been wanting to visit for a long time now, and I loved it. I want to keep visiting in the foreseeable future, also thinking about moving there eventually. I want to be more knowledgeable about the language, being able to speak, understand, read and even write. I want to know more about the culture, the life there, etc. I'm aware of some of the difference and want to be more knowledgeable in that aspect. I also want to be respectful during my visits. I want to overcome anxiety with speaking and build confidence with speaking Japanese.
