Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3, and I’m trying to understand how it performs in terms of pure sound quality before focusing too much on features.

I’m especially interested in more technical aspects like:

Resolution (micro-detail retrieval)

Separation

Layering

Soundstage (width & depth)

Imaging

Transient response

Distortion at higher volumes

For those who have used the Px7 S3:

How would you describe its technical performance compared to other headphones in this category (Sony XM5/XM6, Momentum 4, PX7 S2e, PX8, PX8 S2, etc.)?

Does the tuning (some say slightly V-shaped) affect midrange clarity or vocal presence in real use?

How does it handle complex tracks (dense electronic, orchestral, layered music)?

Is it more “musical” or “technical” in presentation?

Any noticeable weaknesses in the sound?

Also, I’m very curious about EQ usage:

Have you used the built-in 5-band EQ?

How effective is it in practice?

What changes did you notice after EQ (bass control, mid clarity, treble balance, etc.)?

Does EQ significantly improve the overall experience or just slightly tweak the sound?

After sound quality, I’m also curious about:

ANC performance in real life

Bluetooth stability and connectivity

Build quality and long-term comfort

I’d really appreciate detailed impressions rather than general opinions.

Thanks!
