"What is homing?" - Tekken Emperor player
I recently watched a small GoD 3 streamer coaching a Tekken Emperor King player. The streamer was playing Paul and spamming f4.
The King couldn't get in and started trying to... sidestep it.
For those who don't know, it's a homing move.
f+4; i22; -5 on block; +6 on hit
What followed was a conversation that went something like this:
- What is this move?! I can't even sidestep it.
- Of course you can't, it's homing.
- It's what?
- It's a homing move.
- What is "homing"?
- A move that can't be sidestepped, that's the whole point of it. See the blue trails? That's how homing moves are indicated.
- Oh, so that's what that means. I didn't know.
HOOOW?! HOOOW is this even possible? Tekken Emperor. I don't blame the King player, he's just playing the game and simply reached that rank.
But why does the game let you reach this rank without knowing BASIC mechanics? This is the very foundation of the game, how can you miss this and still make it to Tekken Emperor?!
There is definitely something wrong with Tekken 8.
