I started to learn about composition a week ago and it overwhelms me. I watch some youtube, it make sense but then i dont know how to use these theories because to me it sound like composition is a combine use of lot of fundamental that i not yet learn especialy color and shape, and then there is a rules (rule of thirds, golden spiral,..) thing that i very confused on how to use it.
So here are my questions
_ Im trying practice with the thumbnail method but dont know how to approch it, like is the idea come first and you thing about composition latter or you decide what composition to use then play around with it ?
_ How exacly do i use the guild lines in the rule and do i alway have to use these rule? i saw in the book pages on youtube some drawings use letter, lines and shape for the composition(pic below) and that confuse me alot like i can just made up my own composition ??? do i focus too much in these lines and rules ?
_ What practice method do you guy recommend?
