Named after an ethereal landscape from a childhood cartoon, the project is pure catharsis for the band and a total escape for the listener. First Light serves up a brilliant mix of 90s-infused shoegaze, indie-rock, and Brit-pop, effortlessly blending the dense walls of sound of My Bloody Valentine and Lush with the gritty, frenetic energy of Sonic Youth.
