I can sleep through 200mg Modafinil and 400mg caffeine. PARTY TRICK?!?

After sleeping 14 hours and really needing to wake up and do things, I decided I’d take 200mg Modafinil and 400mg of caffeine then allow myself to sleep 1 more hour to let it kick in. I was so full of hope that I’d wake up feeling “normal”. But I slept through my alarm and ended up asleep for another 6 hours. I feel like there’s genuinely nothing that will ever keep me awake and I worry I’ll never experience normal energy levels again. It just sucks so badly.

Anyways, I just felt like ranting to a group that may understand how I feel. Here’s to hoping I find some method to fight this and don’t end up sleeping my life away. 🤞🏼

Coping with all consuming hunger

The thing I’ve never found a solution for, and I think it’s my biggest road block, is the HUNGER. I ate a balanced meal an hour ago. And I’m still so hungry. The type of hunger that causes pain in my stomach and throat. It feels like something is gripped around my throat and there’s a feeling in my throat that I can only describe as like pop rocks in my throat. The aching and grumbling in my stomach is painful.

The sensation of it makes it hard to focus on anything else. Like working with a major headache.

I’ve tried eating high fiber foods with lots of water. I’ve tried glp1’s, I’ve tried keto and paleo, tons of various supplements. Nothing keeps me from being hungry.

I feel hopeless. I’m 330lbs, the heaviest I’ve ever been. Working a sedentary job that has me sitting 12+ hours a day. Every day I’m exhausted and hungry. And it feels like pushing a boulder uphill.

I feel hopeless and hoping someone can both relate and help me see a possible future beyond this. My body feels like a prison.

Helping Scared Chihuahua Relax?

Sam is 10 years old. Her whole life she’s been surrounded by family and hardly ever left alone. Unfortunately we didn’t work on socializing her early on and she barks incessantly at new people. She only likes a very select few dogs and is very selective about people as well. This was alright because she had a variety of family that she loves to spend time with.

I recently moved, so now Sam has to get used to a dogsitter while I’m at work….which is not going well. For the past two days, the dog sitter shows up and Sam just barks at her constantly until she leaves. The vet has her on gabapentin to ease her anxiety but I’m not sure it’s helping.

If I could get her to relax around new people, I’d be able to bring her with me to work. But I’m not sure if that’s possible for her? Has anyone experienced working with a socially anxious and reactive chi and successfully trained them to relax around new people?

Thank you in advance for any guidance! I just want my baby to be happy. ❤️
