So a big rottweiler attacked my dog. We were on a walk and a rottweiler from the opposite side of the road charged him because the owner couldnt hold him.

He charged at my dog and i managed to grab him in my arms but he jumped on me and took him by the neck. He had him pinned down and i was convinced he was gonna kill him. I put my hands in his mouth and tried to open it but I couldnt so I got on top of him and choked him until he released him. I was sure I was gonna get mauled but I didnt. And my dog was ok too, he didnt have any bite marks or scratches so I am thinking maybe he wanted to play?

This was very traumatic for me and I am now very scared to take him out again. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?
